Our beloved Penny King, beautiful wife and friend and Coronado’s Best aesthetician for many years has just been diagnosed with stage 3-4 Ovarian cancer.
As many of you know, Penny has been a caregiver to her wonderful husband, Barry, for some time. He had a major stroke several years ago followed by a heart transplant a year later and has been on the road to recovery ever since. Her unwavering dedication to Barry has inspired all of us. Gracefully taking care of their life responsibilities as she’s tried to figure out what has been going on with her own health this past year has been such an example of her powerful, resilient spirit. She has been employing a part time care giver for Barry but will now need full time help. Penny has been the primary provider through her successful aesthetician business but will need a lot of support in the upcoming months as she will be tackling surgery and treatment and won’t be working. Although this diagnosis seems so unfair with all they’ve been through already, she’s a fighter!
So many of us have had the pleasure of experiencing her fabulous facials, skin treatments and friendship over the years. We have laughed and cried together, sharing in the joys and challenges of life and along with her professionalism, knowledge and love of learning all things skin care, we’ve always looked forward to our next Penny visit. Let’s please do everything we can to get our friend back on her feet! We need our Penny!
Penny rarely asks for help and hasn’t now. Friends have come together to do whatever it takes to make her life as bearable and workable as possible. She needs us; our prayers, our friendship and our financial support to hopefully relieve a fraction of the stress she’s experiencing. It’s a small gesture but so important at this time.
Please share this post with as many people as possible. Our donation goal is aimed at offsetting Penny’s time off work, helping with medical, life and her husband’s caregiving expenses for as long as is needed.
