Hello everyone,
This is A'Laura's mother, you might know her personally or have heard me talk about her. If you would like to know a little about her life please continue reading.
A'Laura was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, when she was younger, meaning she has no peripheral vision that labels her as legally blind even though she has some vision. I often call her my Soldier because she has taken her disability and embraced it with full force that nothing can bring her down.
A'Laura is an avid reader of all types of book especially YA romance books. She LOVES Music of all types, she recently been listening to KPop music lately. She will laugh at her own jokes even before she starts to tell it which will make you laugh because her laugh and snorting is just too contagious. She may be shy but once you get to know her you'll be surprised how much knowledge she has, I'd feel sorry if anyone went against her on a game of Trivia Crack she would be tough to beat!
A'Laura is an Amazing person. Sorry I'm going to have cut this section short. I'm too emotionally drained right now but, I will give updates later.
01/14/15 day of the accident - Here is bits and pieces of the story I gathered from A'Laura and my 4 year old son who witnessed and called for help.
A'Laura was heating up some leftover food on the stove when her hair caught on fire which then spread down to her sweater. Her torso, arms, hands, neck and parts of her face is covered with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Currently she is sedated due to breathing difficulties and will be having her first of several surgeries tomorrow 01/16/15.
I also started this GoFundMe in efforts to get temporarily lodging and transporatation in SF because Bothin Burn Center won't allow me to stay overnight with her since they are not private rooms and is an Intensive Care Unit facility.
Thank you all for your prayers and kind words, I will read all the FB comments and posts to her, I know she will be very happy how loved she is. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
