Hello,
My name is Tamea. I'm reaching out to you because I've finally started a GoFundMe for help. I have recently fallen on extremely hard times. It seems as though everyday get a little harder. The past few years have really tested my faith.
I started battling mental illness about 10 years ago. No one knew what was going on they could just tell that I was not the same. I was a practical nurse for 15 years. I went from being a vital part of society to isolating myself at home most of the time. Three years ago I began to have problems walking. My legs would hurt so bad I could not walk. I found out it was the nerves in my spine being pinched. Eventually I was stricken to to the bed. I wasn’t even able to sit up. Thank God my oldest girls were able to cook and clean for the family. My kids were a real blessing to me. They understood that mommy can’t do things right now so we will do our part.
My marriage fell apart. Most people can’t deal with someone suffering from mental illness. He couldn’t understand what I was going through. Now I’m stable on my medication. My kids and I are battling homelessness. My sister is gracious enough to allow my children and I to live with her temporarily. A month ago I had back surgery and I am doing much better. Not only can I walk but I can drive again. God is good. I started driving for Uber to make ends meet but I had to rent a car because my car is broken and outdated. I’m trying to put the pieces of my life back together but I need $5000 in order to get a home of our own and place a down payment on a car. I can’t raise enough money through Uber in New Orleans because I still can’t spend a whole lot of time driving. I’m still healing.
I know that God will touch enough people heart to donate. I only ask for $5 to be donated towards helping my family to get back on our feet.
