Dave Dohanos

On Friday January 9th Dave collapsed at his son’s hockey game and went into cardiac arrest. Luckily there were medical people in attendance and an AED unit available to resuscitate him and keep him alive until the EMTs arrived.  Once at the hospital he was put on life support to keep his heart and lungs functioning, placed in a medically induced coma and his body temperature reduced to minimize the potential for brain/tissue damage.  His prognosis was guarded at best. 

But Dave is a strong guy and with the power of prayers from his family, friends, and even strangers, he is rallying! He has use of his extremities, can understand conversation and even speak a little, but best of all he is breathing on his own.  His road to recover is still  a long one, however, and that’s where you come in!

Dave and his wife Jody have three active adolescent boys, Derek , Dylan, and Devin.  As you might imagine, caring for the boys can be a daunting task (the food bill alone!).  With mounting medical bills and lost time from work for both Dave and Jody, and their ability to maintain their household could be jeopardized.
