Namibia Study Abroad Program
Howdy, my name is Demi Hofstetter and I am a Texas A&M junior Ag Communication and Journalism major. I was accepted to study abroad this summer in Namibia, in Africa, where I will receive six college credits for my major...I could not be more excited.
When I was nine years old I wrote down three things that I wanted to do in life. 1. Attend Texas A&M; 2. Go to Africa; 3. Have twin boys...but I crossed that one out almost immediately. My first week of school at A&M I learned that my major takes a group to Africa. This Africa trip will give me the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow as I take my first steps in officially becoming the greatest journalist eveeeerrr. While in Africa I will be given the chance to have some of my photos and articles published internationally. Being internationally published by 21 is a big deal and will open doors for me as I continue my education and career. I've prayed about it and wished for this moment since I was a little girl. Here it is. This is my moment.
I am grateful to God for answering my prayers and never letting me go without. He has guided me to this very place, in this exact time, for this very moment. I would like to ask two things from all my family and friends, 1. Prayer for me, the other students, and the Professors; for safety, wisdom, favor, and strength, 2. For your financial support. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
I leave for Africa July 11 and return August 8th.
I want to thank you ALL for your love and support.
God Bless!
