Vern & Connie Briggs

This is for my Aunt Connie & Uncle Vern, yesterday Uncle Vern decided not to pursue a surgery. There was no guaruantee. Connie Casillas Briggs Facebook Status update:Update on visit today with the specialist in Oklahoma City. The cancer has spread to Vern' s voice box after consultation Vern has decided to not do surgery there is only 5% cure so Vern does not want to go thru it. It's a very major surgery and no guarantee cancer would not come back. Vern also has decided no more chemo because it is not working. The surgery would be a 14 hour surgery and if in jaw would have to remove jaw. It's just too much. I love him and support his decision he also wants to be under hospice care. Are we giving up NO we will keep on fighting this cancer we still believe in prayer for healing. Going Monday for a tracheotomy so keep him from choking on the the thick secretion that comes up. I will need to stay with him in Oklahoma City don't want him to stay by himself believing God will provide our financial needs. Thanks so very much from Vern and I our children and grandchildren for the prayers for our families.

As a family member i feel we could all pitch in to help just a little because nobody should be worried if their bills are going to be paid or will we have enough to eat at a time like this. Life is precious and I for one am thankful to the health of my family. We love you guys and are praying for you all!!

with this being the beginning of the year, uncle vern's deductible has started over. This is just another added expense on top of everything else. The money you help donate will go a long ways to helping the family. Thank you so much for the love, compassion and prayers.
