Slinky’s Emergency Surgery

Hello, first of all I just want to say that asking for help like this is not easy for me to do and is not something I, or anyone who sets up a fundraiser, ever thought I would have to do. For anyone who has ever met me I’m certain you’ve heard of my dog, Slinky Wrinkles, I got her almost 2 years ago and she has quickly consumed my entire life and means the absolute world to me. On Wednesday February 1st Slinky got into some trash and ended up ingesting a lot of stuff her stomach cannot digest. Luckily, I was home when this happened and was able to get to her pretty quickly before she was able to eat anymore but some damage had already been done. I immediately took her to an Emergency Vet Clinic to induce vomiting and what I thought would be a pretty routine visit turned out to be a lot more than I was expecting. While they were able to get some of it out, after taking X-Rays her stomach still was full. We quickly scheduled an endoscopy to hopefully remove it that way, avoiding an invasive and more expensive surgery. After 6 hours at the Vet everything they had tried was unsuccessful and now Slinky needs emergency surgery to empty her stomach. Since she’s such a small dog they advised that taking her home and waiting for it to pass was not an option and would only further complicate the situation. When I took her to the vet I was expecting an expensive bill, as every time you visit the vet planned or unplanned, it can always impact you financially, but needless to say I was not at all expecting this series of events to unfold how it has or it get this serious. The goal of this GoFundMe is high and all the bills thus far have been way more expensive than I had planned for but at this point any dollar amount would be extremely helpful and I would appreciate it more than I could tell you.
