Harley's fighting challenge

Donation protected

My name is Harley, I am a 12 year old staffy x border collie x red heeler and for the past 6 years I have had many health issues and unexpected vet bills.

I was diagnosed at 6 years old with addison's disease and since then I have overcome many medical issues including Pancreatitis, Gastritis, Haemmoraghic gastritis, Gastroenteritis any many many more...

I had a metal plate put in my leg at 8 years old and now have severe arthritis which my mum is treating quite well.

In July last year I got a really bad case of pancreatitis, the vets did an ultrasound on my belly and from there they found out I had a tumour on my spleen. I'm still slowly recuperating from this and in November I had my spleen removed along with anal gland tumours. As my doctor was taking out my spleen he found a rather nasty tumour on my liver, he biopsied it and it came back benign along with my splenic tumour and anal tumours.

I just had my follow up ultrasound done yesterday 6 weeks after surgery and my doctor found two tumours on my liver.  The one that was 2.5cms back in November was now 8.5cms.
He found two tumours but is unsure whether they are stemming from the one or they are two completely different tumours.

I have now been passed onto Perth Veterinary Specialists (PVS) who will be doing another ultrasound on Monday along with a fine needle aspiration and biopsies to see if the tumour is benign or malignant.
The tumour was originally 2.5cms and benign which is why all this isn't making much sense :(

My mummy has been my rock throughout my whole life, she became ill at 24 and I supported her for the first six years of my life and since then she has been supporting me.

My mum had multiple strokes late last year at 39 years old with no reasonings as to why this happened. I alerted her something was wrong and test revealed a greater than 90% stenosis.

Mum is struggling with all the vets bills seeing that the pancreatitis last July cost $2,000 then the splenectomy was $4,000 and the ultrasound yesterday along with the next lot of ultrasounds and biopsies will be over $1,000 and that doesn't include the surgery if we choose to progress.

Obviously if everything comes through benign I will be having the surgery but if malignant then we will be discussing my quality of life due to the extensive surgery.

Please help me to help my mum, she is a terrible mess at the moment, trying to hide her tears but I know something is wrong. People tell her she is crazy spending so much money on me, then people tell her I'm very lucky to have such an awesome mum who is willing to sell her soul to fund my medical needs...

The outstanding vet bill at the moment is $2600 and this doesn't include the tests that need to be run on Monday (approx $1,000) and then the cost of the surgery etc etc. Obviously the sooner we can get some donations coming through the sooner we can work on keeping me alive.

I am well worth it!! ;)

Thank you for anything and everything, even a $2 donation will go a very long way <3

Lots of hugs and kisses Harley <3
