Myanmar Students’ Union - Our main purpose of this organization is to develop a unified bond among Myanmar students studying in the United States of America, and to dedicate ourselves to support and strive for the success of Myanmar students in the United States of America and beyond.

At Myanmar Students’ Union - USA our core principle is to act with integrity and operate ethically. All of our processes will be transparent and we will continuously update our donors about progress and deliver the certificate after reaching the milestone.
Our Goals
During such difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe that it is our responsibility as Myanmar students to rally our support for our native country. We, students studying in the US, will come together and raise funds through social media and our networks to offer a helping hand in the fight against COVID-19 in Myanmar.
Project Brief
The surging Covid-19 cases in Myanmar have depleted the Myanmar’s healthcare system. Which is leading to more deaths due to a short supply of medical equipment and supplies. As of November 8th, the Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports has recorded a total of more than 61,377 cases with death toll of 1,420 and counting.
Back in April, Myanmar Students’ Union - USA donated medical supplies such as N95 masks, PPE, and gloves for the frontline workers and some basic supplies for low-income households affected by the lockdown in Yangon. Through online fundraising and generous donations from our members, we successfully delivered 3.5 million kyats worth of supplies to the Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports.
This time, we are planning to donate oxygen tanks which would provide respiratory support to the severely ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. According to research done by scientists at the University of California in San Francisco, 60% of the patients who developed Acute Respiratory Distress survived with oxygen support, and we believe the oxygen tanks are the necessary tool to save the life of Covid-19 patients that are in the Hyperinflammation phase.
We have contacted suppliers in both Myanmar and China, and currently in the process of negotiating the price for oxygen tanks and concentrators. We aim to deliver around 20 (15 liters) oxygen tanks and 10 concentrators as fast as possible to the Ministry of Health and Sports, provided that we meet our fundraising goals.
Thus, The Myanmar Students’ Union USA hopes that you could join us in this Covid-19 relief project by donating oxygen tanks to the COVID care centers across Myanmar and save lives to support our community.
