Memorial Bench for Doug Hall
Donation protected
In the Fall of 2014, Petaluma lost Douglas Stewart Hall, a well-known resident and snake enthusiast. Through his Hands-On Snakes program, Doug brought an awareness of snakes to countless events and schools, entertaining and educating children as well as adults in the process.
The Petaluma wetlands area was one of Doug's favorite places, and the purpose of this campaign is to fund a memorial bench along with a commemorative plaque in his honor in the Alman Marsh area overlooking the Petaluma river. A site has been approved in coordination with the Petaluma Department of Public Works and Utilities, and all that's left to do in order for construction to commence is for me to give them a check for $1,700 along with a memorial plaque for the bench (at a separate cost, which I am covering).
Please donate any amount you can afford, and share this page with anyone whose life may have been touched by Doug, or who might be a kindred spirit where snakes are concerned. Thank you!
