Rick's heart surgery fund

Our dear friends, Rick & Diana, have handled some incredible challenges over the past several months, and are suddenly facing Rick’s emergency heart surgery to repair a 95% blockage in one of his arteries. At only 33 years old, this wasn’t something that they were expecting or prepared to deal with. Rick was fortunate enough to be treated and diagnosed quickly by an amazing team of doctors and nurses (including his wonderful mother!) and came out of surgery today (1/10/15) without any complications. He is expected to fully recover, but will spend the next couple of months unable to work while he heals from invasive surgery.  Since Diana works in sales, they also face a loss of potential income as she spends her time at the hospital and assisting Rick in his recovery.

Rick & Diana are also in the middle of necessary home renovations after recently discovering that the home they bought last year had severe mold damage which required them to move out of their house for a period of time, and currently leaves them without a functioning kitchen.

We are hoping to raise enough with this campaign to assist with offsetting the costs of Rick’s surgery and hospital stay, as well as allowing them the ability to rest and recover from what has been a tumultuous time in their lives. We have been so inspired by their positive attitudes as they’ve dealt with everything from Diana’s motorcycle accident, the illness of their dog Candy, buying a home with major unforeseen expenses, and now the road to Rick’s recovery after bypass surgery. All donations will go directly to Rick & Diana to use for any expense needed. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated as well.
