Bob Simpson's Family Fund - Life After Covid-19

Bob Simpson was a dedicated husband, father and City of Phoenix employee who lost his 26 day battle with Covid-19 on July 14, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Bob leaves behind his wife Barbara and his son Brian who both struggle to live independently. Sadly, no one planned for a life without Bob in it. His wife and son are not only grieving his loss, but also very frightened about the future. Bob was the family member capable of driving, handling finances, paying the bills, maintaining the house, making necessary purchases and managing the needs of his family including his special needs son who since Bob's passing has told his mother, "I want a new Dad."
He worked for 50 years for the City of Phoenix mostly in the Parks & Recreation Dept and came out of retirement on many occasions to help his community. He was a grounds keeper, commercial vehicle driver, tree trimmer that scaled and cared for the iconic City of Phoenix palm trees, and helped to set up stage and sound systems for the beloved City of Phoenix community events. Everyone in Parks & Rec knew and loved Bob. He was always there to lend a hand whether it was in the middle of a storm or in the middle of the night!
This money will be used as a support fund for Barbara & Brian to pay for uncovered living expenses & debts, caregivers, advisors and case advocates to help Barbara and Brian wade through these uncharted waters - a life without Captain Bob at the helm! Further, we will be setting up a Special Needs Trust for Brian's future.
We understand the economic hardships many are facing. Any amount of contribution will be accepted with the deepest appreciation of your sacrifice. We want to thank all the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff at Abrazo Central Hospital who were with Bob for those 26 days fighting alongside him. With love & gratitude! Rest in Peace Uncle Bob!
