Help Lexie travel to Nepal for an educational project

Hi my name is Lexie and I am 16 years old, I am excited to share that I have been selected from my RE teacher and form tutor Miss Rawlingson to take part in the incredible opportunity to travel to Nepal and teach English to underprivileged children of Shubukamana Academy in Kathmandu. This initiative not only aims to provide them with essential language skills but also opens doors to a brighter future.

Teaching these children will allow me to learn about Nepal's rich culture and traditions, and I can't wait to meet the amazing people who call this beautiful country home. However, I need your help to make this dream a reality.

I am raising funds to cover travel expenses, teaching materials, and living costs while I volunteer. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in making a difference in these children's lives.

I will be travelling to Nepal on July 9th 2025 and I will be staying in Nepal for 2 weeks. This is an excellent once in a lifetime opportunity which will not only be eye opening but will also help me grow my confidence and independence. My school, Wolsingham school and two other schools from England will be participating in going to Nepal overall 60 students will be going.

We have been encouraged to fund raise on independently to raise money needed to pay part of the trip. In school, we have already done a series of bake sales, guess the number to win a prize and a Christmas dinner which was hosted after school hours for the elderly community of Wolsingham.
