Help Josh Get Back on his Feet
Donation protected
Hello Friends, Family and anyone who has come across this page to support Josh Anderson after a horrific 2nd degree burn covering most of his left leg.
On Sunday, we had been together and after not using his extra batteries all day, leaving them in my center console, on a cool day, we returned to his house for dinner. He put the extra 2 ion batteries that are rechargeable and designed for his Vape in his pockets and in a matter of 4-5 minutes, without warning, they had exploded.
The explosion was a couple loud bangs and continued with a fire inside his sweatpants that spread down until he could get them off and hurry to rinse off his leg and we could get to the Emergency Room.
Unfortunately, there is no way to receive benefits, unemployment or work with this injury and because of the size of the burn, he has a long healing process coupled with physical therapy.
After contacting the FDA, there have been only 90 battery explosions from Vapes this year, and unfortunately I witnessed one of my closest friends experience this.
If you are able to donate and help his recovery, which is now estimated to be about 12-18 months, it would be greatly appreciated and used for living/health cost expenses as he works through this process.
If you are unable to make a donation at this time, please share, because it should be known that although rare, the severity of these explosions are terrible, and storage/use of batteries, especially Vapes, can be dangerous.
There are pictures of the aftermath, the pants and the healing, which discretion is advised, may be difficult to look at.
Thank you in advance for all and any support. Josh has been more than supportive in my life and many others; I want to help give back as much I can.
