Melinda's medical expenses

As many of you already know Melinda has been fighting this awful illness for the last 7 years. She was just recently admitted again to Banner I.C.U,  severely malnurished and dehydrated. After being in I.C.U.  for 7 days and several test later, she was told that her intestines are no longer working and are now totally paralized along with her stomach. In the last 6 months she has received her 6th feeding tube and has not been able to gain any weight. The most was 96 lbs and suffered in pain the entire time from her tube. This explaines why she was not able to gain weight, her intestines are no longer absorbing the nuetriton she is needing to survive. The pain has been caused from another broken feeding tube which she also found out last week. For the time being Melinda is getting her nutrition through her veins from a formual called TPN.  She has nurses come to the house daily to check vitals, draw blood and check her overal wellbeing. Melinda is facing more surgeries in the near future to replace her feeding tube and have a PORT placed so she can be feed TPN directly to the heart. Her doctors have also talked about sending her to Cedar Sinai Medical Center to meet with specialist in hopes to find the help she is needing
   Melinda and her family are well aware of the fight she is now faced with every day and the battle that lies ahead. She still keeps her positive attitude and smile throughout all this with hopes of a better day tomorrow. 
  We hope through this fundraising effort , we can help alleviate some of the financial burden that her family has been faced with, so her husband Chris and there kids  can focus on her during this difficult time.
