Support my fight against Ewing sarcoma

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Shea I’m 21yrs old, I have two wonderful kids that I love more than anything in the world. This past fall I learned that I had cancer. It was found only by chance when I had gone to the Emergency Room because I had thought that I had a cyst on one of my ovaries, and was caught barely on my lungs by a cat scan. I didn’t even know at the time. And wasn’t even aware of the cancer until the next morning when a nurse from the hospital called me and asked if I would come back in because they found something alarming in the scan and wanted to run another scan. I was scared beyond belief.  I was thinking to myself “What could this be? What is on my lung that has them freaking out. Was it cancer?” After going back to the ER and running another scan, this time of my whole chest. The doctor still didn’t really have any answers for me. But this time he referred me to a lung doctor that would hopefully give me answers that I was dying for. A week later I went to the lung doctor hoping that he would have answers for me, but unfortunately he didn’t have any good answers for me either. Once again I was referred to another doctor this time to an Oncologist. I was starting to freak out. A week later I met with my great Oncologist Dr. Susan Cole. Who still couldn’t give me any answers that I was still looking for but learned that I had two nodules, one on my left lung and a second on my right, one bigger than the other. The doctor setup a biopsy for the bigger nodule right away. After another week I went in for my biopsy, pulling 6 samples out of my lung. Two weeks later the samples came back and I had my answer. Cancer.  My worst thoughts had just been realized and laid out in black in white on a piece of paper. Not just any cancer and not lung cancer like you would think but a cancer that even the doctors didn’t know what it was until they could get in and get one of the nodules out and off my lung. Two weeks later a heart and lung doctor went in and removed the small nodule on my right lung leaving the bigger one on my left. I’ve since recovered from having surgery and have found out that I have Ewing’s Sarcoma a cancer that is normally found in children and not adults, and starts out someplace else besides the lungs. Since all this has happened I've had 5 cat scans, 4 MRI’s, bone scan, muga scan, pet scan, and a skeletal survey. And there is still more coming over the next year  at least. The doctors have reached out to other doctors in her field and have put together a plan of action hoping to push my survival 5 to 7 years. Hoping for a whole lot more than that but sometimes you can’t control what happens in life. Currently I am set up to have 2 more rounds of chemo before I have another surgery to remove the 2nd nodule. Which will be removing my lower part of my left lung, then start another 11 rounds of chemo that will last for 5 days once a month. All of which is covered mostly by insurance, but some parts have not been covered and bills are starting to come in. I’m asking for help to cover Copays and things that insurance is not covering, and I’m looking to get some wigs because I have lost my hair. Also I wanted to be able to take my kids on a family vacation if things were to get bad that they would have a great memory of us going to Disneyland and enjoying our time together. Please help me and donate to my cause and if you can’t donate please share with others. Thank you for your time and reading my story, Remember “A strong person is not the one who doesn’t cry. A strong person is one who cries and sheds tears for a moment then gets up and fights again.”
