Kidney For Mark Ellard

Donation protected
Hi.  My name is Kristi Ellard and I am the wife of Mark Ellard.  We are a family with two girls, Kayli age 9 and Zoey age 2 months.  Mark was diagnosed with ESRD (end stage renal disease) in March of 2012.  This disease basically means that his kidneys were on the verge of failure and have since failed completely.  We have been on a rollercoaster ride with insurance and the treatment center on trying to get on a list for a kidney transplant.  It has taken nearly 3 yrs but Mark is finally on that list.  As of January 6, 2015, Mark was not only placed on a list for transplant but we have been informed of all the necessary steps we need to take in order to get the transplant process started. One of these steps is a financial one.  The medecines that he will need to take before and after surgery are partially covered by insurance but a portion of them are not.  The chance of catching an infection is pretty high and so is the cost of some of the medication that cures those infections.  The recovery time will also put Mark out of work for about 2 months.  As of right now I am a stay at home mom with our new addition and also a homeschool teacher to our beautiful 9 yr old.  The possibility of me working is slim while Mark is out of work as I am entitled as caretaker.  That involves all doctor appointments, keeping track of medications, and any recovery needs he will have.  It will definietly be a busy schedule but it also leaves us both without a monthly income.  We have been advised to look at a variety of fundraisers to help in our future financial need and that is why I am asking for your help.  We are saving what we can now but realistically we will not be able to reach a goal of $10,000 on our own.  Any help is greatly appreciated help.  Even just sharing this page  so that others can see it is giving us a better chance.  Mark is an awesome person, a great dad, and a very hard worker.  He is always there when someone needs him for help and now he needs a little bit of help in return.  I am very grateful to anyone that has read this in its entirety and are willing to help us by sharing the information or donating anything that will get us to our goal.  Even one cent is more than nothing and gets us closer than before.  Much love to all of you for your support and may you always be in good health.

Love,
The Ellard Family
