Brad's cancer fund

December 16, 2014 will forever be a day that changed my entire life. It started out as any other day at work until I felt a pull in my right thigh/groin area and was hit with the most exruciating pain. My company transported me to a clinic and from there what I had originally thought was a hernia; I was being told that it was Not a hernia but could be a couple different things and from there an ultrasound was performed. By the end of my visit I am being told that I need to see a urologist and my appointment was scheduled for 2 days and that the ultrasound showed possible metastatic testicular cancer. 2 days later I'm in the urologist office and being told that yes...it definitely was more than likely cancer and I would need to have surgery either the next day or the day after.  I remember my head spinning so fast that I couldn't absorb everything that was being told me. The only word running through my head was Cancer and the only thing that I could think of was my 6 year old son and how this was going to affect him. The next day; I'm at the hospital having surgery and 2 days before Christmas my physician called and confirmed that it was indeed testicular cancer and that in 6 days I was scheduled to have CT scans and Chest xrays done to see if the cancer had spread and then see him afterwards to get the results. My worst fears came true, it had indeed spread and was in my right lung and 2 tumors found around my aorta. An appointment was scheduled with an oncologist in Indianapolis and one as well in Jasper Indiana the following week. Both appointments came and went this week and both confirmed that I would begin chemotherapy consisiting of 3 rounds each round equaling 3 weeks with the first week of every round being 5 days 8 hours long totally 40 hrs a week and the 2 other weeks in the cycle I would go 1 day a week for 15-30 min treatments. I am still trying to process all this information and everything that has happened in the last 3 weeks and I still struggle with it greatly. I am a man who has worked since he was 15 years and I am the sole provider of me and my 6 year old son. I just purchased a house in November 2014 and just a few short weeks before my bills were to begin coming in all this happened and I have been off work since and will continue to be off for the next 9 weeks or longer. I am a very proud man; one who has always done for others and not asked a thing in return and now the time has come where I have to depend on loved ones and a few friends to help me get by.  I am 31 years old and have prided myself in being able to take care of my self and my son and  being out of work  has put me in a situation where I will be unable to do just that and I am now asking for help to get by these next few months so that my son can continue to have a roof over his head and that I have a home to go to daily to rest from receiving my chemotherapy treatments as well as help with medical bills that will soon start coming in. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated
