NRAA Bulldogs JV Football 2017
Tax deductible
The North Raleigh Athletic Association (NRAA) Bulldogs Junior Varsity (JV Red) team needs your help to fund post-season expenses as our kids and coaches make a run for the National Championship. They've already won the CFF (league) championship in the Raleigh area, and the Mid-South Regional Championship (which required Thanksgiving weekend in Virginia Beach). The team is undefeated thus far.
The cost to participate in the national championship alone is over $650 per player, and if family members want to be there, multiply that by mom, dad, and siblings. Our goal is to raise enough for every player and coach to attend without a financial hardship. We do have families sacrificing to send their boys without family there to see them. Our players have promised that their hearts and effort on the field will be a great return on your investment.

More about the JV Red Bulldogs
The NRAA has been a respected organization in the Raleigh (NC) area since 1982. JV Red is a tackle football team of 26 diverse, excited, and talented boys, led by a staff of eight volunteer staff members. It's the team in the oldest age division (ages 10-13) in the organization.
In what will be the last season for many of these Bulldogs before high school, these boys have secured their succes as a result of their own hard work and that of their families, volunteers, and coaches since the season started August 1.
Half of the JV Red coaches do not have players on the team - they’ve donated hundreds of hours purely for the love of the sport and what it means for these boys. In accordance with the Pop Warner philosophy, every child plays, safety is a top priority, and academic excellence prevails. We’re a team filled with energy and promise. Many of these players have been playing football since flag (age 5). Others are new to the sport. Today, these middle schoolers boast a team average GPA of 91%, representing 16 different public and private schools in the Raleigh area. Our team members are contributors outside of football: in their communities, other sports, and their churches. We are proud of each and every player.
Committing to football isn’t easy. These boys and their families must be willing to rise to the challenge and make the sacrifices of time and sweat equity. We are rising to that challenge, but need your help. The NRAA has over 200 children participating in football and cheer as part of Pop Warner -- all managed by volunteers. We provide nearly all equipment required to participate and have a respected reputation with our community partners. Our budget is tight, and registration fees cover just half of our expenses for the regular season. Our coaches are the best in the area, held to high standards, and we’ve committed to the safest methods and latest guidelines for football. Our fundraising efforts make the Bulldogs’ exceptional program possible and are even more critical for enabling participation in post-season.
Our boys have learned from their coaches: they play for each other. They pick each other up, encourage each other, and pat their teammates on the back. They focus on academics so they can continue to play. They don't want to leave any player behind. Help them get where they need to go -- where they've earned the right to play.
