The Scoop…
It started back in March when I noticed a lump in my left inner-thigh during a workout. I got it checked and was told that it may just be a muscle-knot and to stretch it out and see what happens. A few months passed and the lump about the size of a softball was still there and I lost feeling in parts of my left leg. Immediately I knew that something was wrong and I was at an office visit in San Antonio when coworkers forced me to get it checked at the on-site clinic.
What I thought would be a routine visit turned into an ultrasound, to an MRI, to seeing my primary care physician, then seeing an Oncologist and within a week and half, I was under the knife getting the tumor removed.
The Diagnosis…
On August 2, 2017, I was officially diagnosed with a form of Sarcoma, Myxoid Liposarcoma. Sarcoma is a malignant tumor that comprise approximately 1% of all soft-tissue tumors.

The Fight…
My treatment plan is aggressive and it will be a long, tough journey to getting better.
1) Radiation Therapy
2) Surgery #2
3) Physical Therapy
4) Chemotherapy
The Journey Ahead…
I’ve been bombarded with overwhelming information and inundated with countless appointments, but I assure you that throughout all of this I remain strong in my faith and positive in my outlook and attitude. As you can imagine, this has taken an emotional, mental, and financial toll on my immediate family, my sister and my parents.
I am grateful for any type of support from my community of family, friends, work, and Aggie family.
