Justin’s Journey

Our 11 yr old son Justin has ongoing medical expenses from monthly medications, handful of specialists, and routine procedures ranging from MRI’s, EKG, and extended EEGs. He has been diagnosed with a list of unique medical issues including: craniosynostosis, low muscle tone, GERD, asthma, Chiari Malformation, epilepsy, mitochondria disease, PDA, ADHD and multiple food allergies. He was born with a rare birth defect called craniosynostosis, which caused abnormalities to his head and he needed reconstructive skull surgery at 6 months old to avoid inter cranial pressure and developmental delays. Doctors told us he would be a “normal child” once surgery was over but unfortunately unexplained issues lead us to multiple doctors and specialists. We are still searching for answers.

Today, Justin has a scar on top of his head from ear to ear and is the bravest young boy. He struggles with fatigue, headaches, balance, fine motor and has learning disabilities. August 2018 he will be receiving a seizure assistance service dog from 4 Paws for Ability. His service dog will help Justin stay calm during stressful moments, help in balance, and alert us of any seizures.

We are raising funds to help Justin’s Journey! We are a family of 5 with only one income. We struggle paying for his doctor visits and currently have frequent garage sales to help pay for all medical expenses. Funds raised will help pay for Justin’s ongoing medical expenses as well as helping us take Justin to Ohio to meet his service dog.
