Justin Reynolds Medical Fund

Many have asked what they can do to help the Reynolds family and the outpouring of love and food has been humbling and ever so generous. They were hesitant for me to put this up as they understand that many of you are sitting in uncertain financial times as well with Covid-19 upon us but so many are still asking what they can do.

The reality of their situation is Justin has been unable to work for 2 months and will only be able to return part time. With his business, he only gets paid if he does the work. When they must hire people to complete the work, they are actually either just breaking even or sometimes paying out more than they are bringing in.

On February 9th Justin Reynolds went to the ER with back pain and it was a fluke that they found an abscess in his stomach. He was hospitalized for 7 days, it looked good and clear and Justin came home with oral antibiotics. Ten days later, Michelle had to bring him back to the ER where they found he had 3 or more abscesses that grew within the 10 days home and a perforated bowel that left him sepsis. Unfortunately, he got worse case scenario. They opened him up, cleaned the infection and took a piece of his bowel and they had to reroute his bowel. During his three and a half weeks stay they had to bring him back into surgery to fix the incision that wasn’t healing right and take out more infection. He was finally discharged with a home health nurse on March 13th. Although Justin is glad to be home, recovery is going to be long. He lost over 40 lbs during the month in the hospital and most of it was muscle mass. In 4-6 months, he will have to go back in for surgery to have the bowel reattached.

At this time, I am humbly asking for anything you may be able to give during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, would you be so kind to share this on your social media platforms? The Reynolds family are an extension of my family and I just want to see them come out on the other side of this without the burden of extreme debt.

Thank you in advance for your generosity,
