We are the family of Brooklyn Bishop aka George Sanchez. Bishop’s life was taken from us on March 24, 2022 by an act of senseless gun violence. He was shot twice in his building, while going up the stairs to his apartment. Bishop was an artist, a musician, a brother, a son and a vibrant part of our family. He blessed us with 43 years of love, laughter, creativity and music. Our family is torn by this act of violence. George is survived by his older brothers, his mother and his father. We are celebrating his beautiful life with a memorial service and tribute. We’d like to invite anyone interested to make a donation to pay for the services. Any remaining funds will be donated to LIFE Camp, an organization on the frontlines of battling gun violence on our communities.
