Please help me to acquire all I've lost

         My name is Tashayanna
Young, and I am not just a Le Cordon Bleu Alum. I am also a mother, grandmother, teacher, councilor, and friend, but first and foremost I am a Black
 woman that should feel protected.

I became a resident at 6655 s Perry in Chicago IL under the lease of Amer Mostafa on 5/4/20. Since May10th 2020 Mr. Mostafa has had 5 illegal entries that I have proof of, more that I cannot prove physically.

On Jan 10th 2021 when I am looking forward to a bold and bright new year, all that was shattered when my windows were broken out of my home. But the fact is, my front door was not broken, this building needs a key for entry, and the doorbells do not work for entry either so it would be very difficult for someone who doesn’t have key access to gain entry.

During my time as a resident here I have made several requests to Mr. Mostafa to make certain repairs and those request were ignored multiple times. One said request was for him to move his construction ladder from my balcony because it interfered with my usage and was safety hazard to my guests.

On Jan 11th The construction ladder that has been on my balcony since May 4th fell on me and went to the hospital to seek medical attention. Upon my return from the hospital to my home, all doors to my home were  open, it had been ransacked for belongings and jewelry. Also the landlord never secured my unit, and was standing in the hall upon my arrival. To add insult to injury, my mother’s pearls were stolen, along the hopes of wearing them with my chucks for inauguration and the feelings of safety for my daughter and I.

Jan 19th was a day that I never thought was possible. Mr. Mostafa assaulted me by kicking me in my face and proceeding to punch me only because I wanted to try and fix my windows. He then lied to the police along with many of the other male tenants in the bldg, CPD took over an hour to talk and negotiate before looking at camera footage to back my claim and then arrested him for battery.

Jan 20th 2021 Judge Jeanne Wrenn of the Circuit Court of Cook County denied me the right to a hearing alone, and instead insisted that I sit next to my attacker as he lies to try to get an order of protection against me.

She then denies mine based on the fact that we are not in a domestic relationship. I am seeking help with repairs for my home, moving to a safer location, and adequate funding to finance a lawyer to seek damages against Mr. Amer R. Mostafa. Our hopes is that this building is turned into a community ran cooperative and that Mr. Mostafa is relinquished of all rights as a landlord in the City of Chicago.
