Both legs are broken. Luckily the vet thinks he can save both. Again, thank you to the human who saved my cat. He is one of a kind and so are you! ❤️“

“Glenn Mountain Animal Hospital,

September 17th 2018, you received a cat because he was in obvious distress and could not walk. I get a phone call from my vet, telling me hes there safe and sound and i can come pick him up.

I arrived there 20 minutes later as i was on my way home from work. I ask for him, you go to the back and I instantly hear a cat screaming in pain. You come out front, plop him on the counter as he continued to scream and claimed he was very vocal. He could not stand. I said "no, this isn't normal. Did you give him meds?" Thinking he was drugged up. She replied, "no, hes fine. He was just sleeping." I asked, "okay... did you feed him?" She said, "Yes hes fed and has had water." I stood there staring at him and asked "are you sure?" She then replied again, "yes hes fine." And allowed me to walk out the door.

I took him home and assessed him myself. What i found/noticed within 1 minute of looking at him:

Obvious signs of distress (screaming, shaking, fast breathing rate).

He could not stand up.

Obviously deformed lower right back leg.

Could not move right back leg.

With that, i immediately called my vet (Fraser Valley Animal Hospital). I told the assistant what i had found and I was instructed to take him to the vet asap. I couldn't get in there so she sent me to Gladys Pet Hospital where they said they had a opening in 30 minutes.

Seeing as i had to wait a bit, i called Glenn Mountain. I was told he was showing no signs of distress. Also that it was illegal for them to do anything to an animal without owners consent. Her response was "well i was here all day and he was fine."

In the video below, you will see my Winston in obvious distress.

Glenn Mountain, the fact you let me walk out the door with my cat in this condition is sick. I trusted you when he said he was fine. This is inhumane and straight up negligence. My boy was in pain and you chose to ignore it.

Winston is now in stable condition at Gladys Pet Hospital. Hes expected to stay two nights as hes dehydrated and they don't know the condition of his organs. X-rays and blood work tomorrow. Fingers crossed for my boy.

this is what my sister posted on her page about what happened. I am heart broken. She is stuck with a $4,300 bill to save her kitty Winston. Any little bit will help, I just want to try to get half. Thanks for reading this far. Her animals are her life and she would do anything for them. She takes them camping and Winston is even trained to be on a leash. Her pup, Roscoe has been so lost without having his brother home! We all just want him back home!
