（日本語は下記に）Pato-chan is a Filipina trans woman in Japan who urgently needs funds for food, medical costs, mental health costs, and housing.
Pato-chan came to Japan to be with her ill father. Not knowing that she was eligible for a family visa, she overstayed her tourist visa so she could care for him. After he passed away, she could not return to the Philippines out of fear of transphobic violence and because her family was living in Japan. She is currently staying with her family despite their financial difficulties from the COVID pandemic. Pato-chan was held in a Japanese detention center for over 15 months, where she was confined to the “punishment room” (solitary confinement) and had her free time drastically reduced for being transgender. She was denied hormone injections and endured psychological and sexual abuse from the guards. As a result, Pato-chan has developed deep loneliness, prison psychosis, and OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder). She is in need of care for the trauma she experienced in detention.
Because of her self-advocacy and campaigning by groups such as Justice For Pato-chan, she was given a provisional release from detention, but she is not allowed to work. She is also not allowed to apply for health insurance and must pay the full cost for all health services. This leaves her traumatized by Japan’s racist and transphobic detention system, in urgent need of healthcare, with no way to earn an income. Her birthday is March 20th and helping her meet her basic needs would mean a lot to her.
What Pato-chan is asking for is basic needs any human being should be able to get. She is being denied them because she is a trans woman and Filipina. Please donate to support her as she continues to fight against the injustices of Japan’s immigration system and transphobia.

【緊急の寄付のお願い】日本に住むフィリピン人のトランス女性・パトちゃんのためにカンパをお願いします。
パトさんは、病気の父親と一緒に暮らすため数年前に観光ビザで来日しました。家族滞在のビザを申請できることを知らず、オーバーステイでした。その後、パトさんは警察に捕まり、入管に収容されてしまいました。父親は亡くなりました。しかし、彼女には日本で暮らしている幼い兄弟や母親がおり、フィリピンに帰る場所はありません。また、フィリピンではセクシャルマイノリティに対する差別が根強く、過去にトランスジェンダーを理由に暴力を受けた経験があります。国に帰ると迫害を受ける恐れがあり、帰国を拒んで日本で暮らすことを望んでいます。現在、パトちゃんは兄家族と同居しており、その家族もコロナ禍の影響で経済的に困窮しています。迎え入れてくださった家族のために少しでも支えになることをしたいと望んでいます。
2020年10月6日に1年3ヶ月の差別的な入管での収容から解放され、晴れて仮放免を勝ち取りました。しかし、入管での長期収容と虐待の影響からさまざまな医療的ケアを必要としています。収容された間、トランス女性であることを理由にシス女性の被収容者たちに与えられた自由時間や交流時間を与えられず懲罰房に隔離され、深い孤独と拘禁症状に苦しんできました。また、ホルモン投与も拒絶されました。いま彼女は強迫性障害（Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)を患っています。
一方で、仮放免中であるパトさんには就労が認められていません。また、国民健康保険への加入が認められていないため、医療費は全額自己負担となってしまいます。これらの不当な制約により、パトさんがご自身の力のみで今必要としている医療的ケアにアクセスすることは、非常に難しい状態です。
そこで皆様にカンパをお願いし、パトさんへの医療費の補助支援及び、生活費や迎え入れてくださった家族への支援のためのカンパをお願いします。
パトちゃんが求めているのは、あらゆる人間が生きるために最低限に必要としているものです。しかし、彼女がトランス女性であって、またフィリピン国籍であるため、基本的な人権すら否定されています。彼女の誕生日は3/20です。日本の移民制度の不当、トランスジェンダー差別の不当を変えるために訴えてきたパトさんの願いが少しでも叶うよう、支援をいただけないでしょうか。
