Nevertheless As We All Have Experienced Personal Struggles
In Life, His resulted In Him recently being ordered to serve 1yr. Sentence In IDOC.

Maurice Entered Custody 3-28-17
As An Overall Healthy 53yr. Old Man With No High Risk Conditions or Disorders;No High Blood Pressure,Cholesterol or Diabetes.

Yet on 7-24-17 He Called Home Sounding Well and In Very Good Spirits In Spite of Expressing Concerns of Issues With Correctional Officers At
Pontiac Correctional, He Stated
He Would Call Back Later Because He Was Being Ordered To Cut
The Call Short .

That Ended Up Being His Last Conversation With His Loved One.

7-25-17 We Received A Phone
Call From A Hospital Stating Maurice Had 2 Brain Strokes
And They Needed Authorization To Perfom A Surgery To Sustain His Life.

Next We Were Told Via Phone Conversations That Surgery Went Well And Maurice was Stable,Talking,Moving All of His Limbs,Communicating with His Doctors But Still No Family Visits
or Phone Conversations Would Be Authorized Until He Arrived Back At Pontiac Correctional.

His Beloved Daughter In Orlando,FL Called The Hospital Multiple Times Daily to Check On His Recovery Only To Receive Notice That The Hospital Was No Long Authorized To Give Her or Family Any Information and All Updates Would Be Communicated Through The Prison Doctor.

8-3-17 We received a call stating Maurice was In Danger once again needing an emergency surgery.

At That Point We Knew Something Was Going Seriously Wrong With Our Loved One.
Finally After Showing Up At The Hospital And A Call From An Attorney, The warden allowed Maurice to have a family visit.

Nevertheless by this time our Beloved Maurice was in a medically Induced coma and on life support.

Unable To Tell Us Anything That May Have Happened To Him before The 2 Strokes Occurred.

Lastly After 18 Days of Fighting
For His Life & Family 8-11-17
Maurice"Swift Angel"Murphy
Has Succumb.

At This Time We Are Preparing To Lay Our Loved One To Rest and Continue The Quest of Finding
Out Exactly How This Happened To Maurice A. Murphy.
