Justice for Holly Palmer-Granbury

After 31 years of Holly's homicide not being solved the family is raising money to have her body exhumed to re-examine for trace evidence. The exhumation itself can cost between $3,000 & $5,000 plus funeral director fee. We are hoping that if the family raises the money for the exhumation that the city will pay for the forensic examination. This case has been cold for too long, and it is time to get answers.
Holly was born July 10, 1965 and was the oldest of three girls. Holly graduated from Granbury High School in 1982. Holly was savagely beaten to death on November 27, 1988 just three days after the Thanksgiving Holiday that year, and Thanksgiving day was the last time her sister Dolly spoke to her. Holly’s body was found inside the Greyhound Bus Station in Granbury, TX where she worked as the Manager – her skull was beaten with a hammer.
The family has never given up hope that one day Holly’s killer will be brought to justice. Over the years the family has made hundreds of phone calls in regards to Holly’s case. They would call the Granbury Police Department to ask detectives if any new leads had come in or if there were any developments in the case. On the 25th anniversary of Holly’s death the local newspaper ran a story on the front page. The police chief was interviewed about the case and he asked that if anyone had any information to come forward, to do the right thing.
Dolly, one of Holly's younger sisters, has led the charge over the last 3 decades trying to keep her sister’s memory and case alive. She has tried everything she can think of, having the Cold Case Review Team out of Austin look at the case, asking for help from the Texas Rangers and the Attorney General's office and talking with the District Attorney who did not seem interested in pursuing an indictment even after the Cold Case Review team felt like there was enough evidence to obtain an indictment based on circumstantial evidence.
