A fearless Black Man and Hero in Los Angeles needs your support. On January 6th, 2021, Christian Angelo, a 19 year old California native, was by himself leaving the bus stop in front of City Hall in Downtown Los Angeles when he was viciously and brutally attacked by a group of Alt-Right MAGA Supporters as he made his way through the park.
The attackers grabbed him, bear maced him twice in his face and punched him repeatedly in the head. At one point Christian, a very dedicated supporter of the Black Lives Movement, thought this was the way he was going to die. He looked these grown men in the eye and shouted “I’m not afraid of you!” They continued to beat him and yell racial slurs. The LAPD was present and did nothing to save his life, he was rescued by independent press, street medics and allies.
This is a HATE CRIME! Christian is a very kind and considerate young man, fresh out of High School. He volunteers so much of his time to help and protect peaceful protestors in the city of Los Angeles. This act of violence is so heartbreaking for the Black Community because Justice is so seldomly served for Black People in this country.
It’s understood that money will not fix this horrific assault but it will help ease his trauma and support his efforts toward survival and liberation of his community. Christian is among the many young, devoted Black people who are fighting for freedom amongst colliding pandemics of plague and White Supremacy.
