Hey guys please take 1 min of your time to watch the video thats posted on this gofundme page. I'm not posting this to show the immaturity of these soldiers. But take a moment to think about all the blessings we ALL have and how these kids we're chasing this bottle if water as if their lives depended on it. I honestly cannot even comprehend this hard hard hard way of life. Especially when we take virtually everything we have for granted.
I am not going to waste your time by writing a 20 page essay, I am trying to help support a few families who need our help. Primarily a sister who lost her husband last year and has 4 children. I want to be able to also follow in our typical Ramadan tradition of trying to use half the money to sponsor some orphans around the world. As always, I email all the donors, my username and password to IRUSA so they can see the donation for themselves. We also send pictures of reciepts of all on going grocery shopping we do for the families.
For one moment, imagine you were that kid. You cant make this stuff up. He was running for his life, after a water bottle. All he wanted was a sip of clean, water. No matter how many times I watch the video, it just seems too surreal. I really fear the day I will stand before God and He will show me how I lived so lavishly and others werent even living at all. And worst of all, if He tells me I was selfish and all I cared about was myself, I know itll be true.
Give what you can, as much as you can. So when we stand before Him, perhaps we can tell Him, God, we fell short, but please accept our miserly efforts.
