JUST A GIRL FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE

Donation protected
I am just an everyday girl fighting for my life.  My name is Megan Varney and I  am a bartender living in Los Angeles, CA.  2 months ago  I was given the news no woman wants to hear.  I have Stage 3 ER +/HER2+ breast cancer that has spread to my lymph node.  I work in a small neighborhood bar and didn't have medical insurance at the time I was diagnosed.

I will be starting an aggressive chemo/radiation treatment on September 19, 2018 and that scares the hell out of me.  But I am going to kick the shit out of this cancer, and when I am done I want to help other service industry people do the same because I know I am not the only one out there to find themselves in this position.

Ever heard the cliche "Beating a dead horse"?  My mantra is "I will beat that horse back to life"!!!   I don't give up!  I don't even know how.

I will have to stop working on 09/19/18 when I begin chemo.  My hope is to be able to keep a roof over my head and still be able to eat while going through treatment.  Rumor has it that these things can aid in a speedy recovery.

If there were words to convey what your help/support means to me I would insert them here but  there simply isn't a way to express it.   I just can't find words to express that kind of gratitude.

Stay tuned for next weeks episode when I dye my hair platinum blonde (always wanted to do that) then shave my head to get that over with!!!!!  Good stuff!  I can't wait!
