Dear to All of Those Who Are Obliged,
My friend and his family are in dire need of assistance. The father was in a severe car accident on 02/21/2018 at the intersection of Rosecrans Ave and La Mirada Ave in the City of La Mirada, CA. He was driving at 35 mph on Rosecrans (wearing his seatbelt), and was passing a green light when a car sped down the hill on La Mirada and ran a red light. His car spun out, hit the traffic pole, and the engine erupted in smoke following the impact. He was immediately rushed to St. Jude hospital and they performed an emergency surgery on his head for a hemorrhage, and as soon as the surgery was over they transferred him to UC Irvine Medical Center to perform three more emergency surgeries because St. Jude was not well equipped to handle his emergencies. Following this, he was placed in the ICU. They are leaving his abdominal wound open to drain, so he is prone to infections, and he is receiving pulmonary therapy. He endured a spinal fracture, so he will need to go to a nursing home for rehabilitation once he is released, however even after the rehabilitation begins he will be unable to financially support his family because of his condition for approximately a year.
As for now, he is hanging on to life and they are taking things by the minute. Every day is inconsistent with some days being uphill and then suddenly reverting back to square one. He is currently on a morphine drip and they are working on his bowel system. He was progressing positively so they slowed the morphine down and started him on liquids, but it is not traveling down his system, so he has been through 4 CT scans and we will have results in the next day or two.
As for the family, they have slowly started to obtain the medical bills, and on top of that, his wife has not been able to work for almost a month to take care of her husband and their two daughters. She is finding all that she can do to be the sole provider for her family. The older daughter is being left with her younger sister while their mother stays overnight with their father. Furthermore, they live in a small establishment as is, yet she recently rented a room out of their house to supplement the costs.
If it is compelled in your heart, for the sake of this family in a time of desperate need, to donate. They are in grave need of assistance with medical bills, future nursing home bills, and her husband’s lost wages. Their family and future welfare will thrive with the contribution. Anything helps and as many can relate, situations occur at unpredictable times, with no hope except for a generous soul. Please assist this family and aid them to a recovery both medically and financially.
