It's that time of year again: our Annual Juneteenth (Freedom Day) celebration!
Saturday June 18, 2022 from 4:00 pm til 9:00 pm at the Ives Park Gazebo in Potsdam, NY.
Juneteenth is a yearly community event that honors the day when enslaved people in Texas were finally told that they were free on June 19, 1865. These were the last enslaved people to win their freedom.
We will celebrate with cultural music, food, speakers, dance, poetry, awards, and a Black Beauty fashion show. ALL FOOD AND EVENTS ARE FREE.
This is a family-friendly event; no alcohol permitted. Social distancing and masks are recommended. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chairs.
DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED AND WILL GO TO THE JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION.
