Jumpstart for Jackson

Donation protected
I have been wanting to share this for quite some time but feel now is the time. I usually raise money for my birthday December 16th for something I care about...this year is no different. Except this year it is not something it is someone.

This is Jackson.

He came into our lives back in September and found himself homeless. All I can say is that not knowing where this kid (19) would lay his head at night did not sit well with me.

We first met Jackson at the Pizza Box in Fowlerville. When Zo found out he did not have a place to stay- Zo looked at me and said Mom he can stay with us. Justice felt the same. One thing I can say I am most proud of with my boyz is they may not have my blood but they have my heart.

After Mr. Spisz met Jackson he too felt that we all knew what we needed to do. We offered for Jackson to come stay with us. He humbles me on the daily. Before Thanksgiving he asked if we would be sitting at the table. I said "of course." He said that was going to be awesome because he never had that. I had to walk away...truly living a bit of my fave film The Blindside.

When asked what he was thankful for he said my new family and for you accepting me for me.

Clearly this young man has a piece of my heart now.

When we first met we made a list of things that he needed to accomplish and there were a lot. Jackson has jumped the hoops and accomplished amazing things since being here- opened a bank account, got his level 1 license, applied to college, secured insurance, went to the Dr, was accepted at college, made the esports team, secured multiple scholarships, and more.

I could not be prouder of him! We are really going to miss having him here every day when he moves in to Cleary University in January.

For my birthday I want to raise money to Jumpstart Jackson. I want to give him some funding to furnish his dorm, provide for his daily needs, buy a laptop, and just to allow him to start his day one not one day goals.

He is humble, smart, and hardworking and I truly believe in him.

He does not know I am doing this and I can't wait to surprise him on Christmas morning. He did give permission to share his story.
