Juliette Harmatiuk Memorial Reading Fund

On September 29th our brave, precious Mom and Memere, Juliette Harmatiuk, passed away from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Julie was a passionate reader and lifelong learner. She went back to college after her girls were grown to pursue a career as an Educational Assistant. Julie worked as an EA in the Black Gold School District for 32 years. During these years, she touched the lives of many children. She worked with many children over the years, helping them learn to read in both English and French. Julie loved her students, and watching their confidence grow as their reading improved was so rewarding. We, her family, have started this campaign to raise funds to purchase early literacy intervention books. These books will be given to schools in Leduc in Julie's memory. Please give as you wish, knowing that all funds raised will be used to help children develop a love of reading.
