Juliet's Heart Surgery
Donation protected
My niece, Juliet Meredith Suchecki, was born on February 24, 2010 at 2 pounds, 12 ounces. Juliet was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. Her heart was missing a connection to her lungs. She also had two holes in her heart. At five weeks old, she underwent open heart surgery to insert an artificial conduit to her lungs, and repair one of the holes in her heart. She was hospitalized in Boston for 9 weeks and then in Hartford for 3 weeks, immediately following her birth. Juliet has done very well but now at 8 years old requires another surgery to replace the conduit and repair the other hole in her heart. Juliet's open heart surgery will take place on April 2, 2018. Juliet may be tiny in size, but she is big in spirit, resilience, and love. She is a beautiful, shy, sweet, funny, lovable little girl who only wants to be like all of the other little girls. She's in first grade and is doing very well in school and enjoys school. She will miss some school as she recuperates and her mother will be on unpaid leave from her job for a least a month to be with Juliet in the hospital and at home. The family has many medical bills and needs any help that they can get. We ask for your prayers for Juliet, and any financial help would be greatly appreciated.
