Hello everyone, on behalf of Julie Nuñez and family. I would like to give you a brief update of Julie’s health, as many of y’all know she suffered a stroke on June 24th, she was airlifted from DeSoto Memorial Hospital to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She had to have an emergency brain surgery as she had internal bleeding. She had two tubes draining the blood & to relieve pressure from her brain. Julie is now talking a little, but hard to understand at times. She is also a bit confused and has lost some memory. Julie has a long road ahead, with physical therapy to gain speech, physical movement strength on her left side and to start eating again. As many if you know Julie has been a bus driver for more than 20 years and it is unknown if she will ever be able to drive busses again. The family is asking for help to pay medical expenses that are coming along on top of her monthly housing bills she has. You can send as little as a dollar, anything will be greatly appreciated. I know she would help anyone in need if she could without a doubt. Julie has a big heart for everyone. So I ask please help her in this time of need.
Please reach out to Sierra or Amanda before hand if you would like to visit Julie, & please be aware we are not & will not be posting pictures of her in the hospital at this time.
Thank you all for understanding & helping in anyway you can! ❤️
Brief update: Julie is still in the hospital in Sarasota. The tubes in her head are out. She is in a regular room now. They are planning on moving her to the therapy side soon, they are waiting on insurance approval. She does talk a little better and is staying awake a little longer. Doctors and nurses say she is doing really well, but does have a long road ahead. We are hoping and praying that she gets her strength back and be able to be self dependent again.
On behalf of her children, family, friends and I. I want to thank every single one of you for all your support and prayers you have provided. There are no words to express the gratitude and the love you have provided for her. When Julie comes out of all this, I’m sure she will show her appreciation as well. I will continue updating her status here.
Thank you, again ❤️❤️
