Community Diamonds Foundation, Inc.
Dear Donor:

I am Julian Isiah Mason, a student at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA and I am participating in the 2017-2018 “Diamonds in the Sky” Beautillion Program. I am the son of Gwendolyn and Richard Mason III. Outside of my academics, I participate in a plethora of extra-curricular programs and activities. I am the Chairman of the Fulton County Youth Commission, President of my Kappa League chapter, Co-Captain of the 2018 Varsity Lacrosse team,  a member of the Westminster Schools Senior Giving Initiative Committee, a member of my school’s Service Corps, served as a student ambassador for four years and a Global Ambassador for two years, act as a bible study leader for middle school boys at my school, a member of the Jr. Usher Board at my church. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, the recipient of the Thomas Wilbur Irick III Award, and have won the Kappa Leaguer of the Year Award. Athletically, I am a member of the 2015 Football AAA State Championship team, the 2017 Lacrosse AAA State Championship team, and a member of the varsity Track and Field team.
Upon graduating in the Spring of 2018, I plan on attending Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia as a honors student and will be participating in their 5-yr. MBA program. While at Hampton, I will also be a member of the first historically black college or university’s Division 1 Lacrosse program. In addition to being involved in the different programs listed above, I have completed two corporate level internships in the field of business at The Home Depot, Inc. and Meals on Wheels of Atlanta.
The Carrollton-Douglasville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. sponsors this program for young men. The Carrollton-Douglasville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Theta Kappa, was chartered on July 17, 2005. In this chapter’s short history, they have won numerous awards on the provincial and grand chapter level, including the Paul W. Caine International Chapter of the Year.
I am completely thankful to have the opportunity to participate in the beautillion scholarship sponsored by the Carrollton-Douglasville (Ga.) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Another aspect of the Diamonds in the Sky Beautillion involves assisting the participants in raising funds for entering the college or university of their choice. I solicit your support by making a direct contribution, purchasing advertising space in our souvenir booklet, or contributing to the patron's list (prices included below). With your support, I will have an opportunity to help raise funds for my own scholarship. On April 28, 2018, the souvenir books will be available for those interested, and in them will be the ads you purchased. Fortunately, The Community Diamonds Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization; therefore, your contribution will be tax deductible.
As I begin this huge transition from high school to college, I ask that I start it with your support. My parents weren’t the only ones who played a part in raising me. It took the help of everyone in my family, community, and village. If you are a part of my community, I ask that you continue to support me and my family. If you are yet to join the village, I would appreciate it if you tagged along.
