Juliana’s Fight against cancer
Juliana is a friend and colleague and one of the most incredible women I have ever met. She is an incredible mother, friend, colleague, educator and is always so thoughtful and giving to others. She continues to lift others up even when she is carrying an unbelievable personal struggle.
At the end of last year she was about to fly home to Brazil to introduce her only daughter Ana for the very first time to her family. It would have been a happy occasion but it was canceled as the diagnosis of cancer was given to her. Juliana stayed home , did not get to see her family, not introduce her daughter to them and instead stayed to start her chemo.
In this difficult time I have watched her fight this mental, emotional and physical turmoil like an army never letting others see her struggle or turmoil.
Juliana comes into work in our childcare centre every day and takes care of our staff and children and supports them while trying to have the energy each day to care for her self and her young daughter. Unable to give up work she doesn't have many choices but to work yet she is always warm and kind and smiles despite it. If she could financially give up her job for a short time till her treatment was finished she would to ensure she maintains her health for her life and her daughter. However, they are not in a position to receive financial support, so I am setting up this page to try and relieve this burden to keep her safe form any illness or Covid 19 that could jeopardise her health and her families future. If we can assist her in this battle she could be home, be safe and healthy enough to be fighting and kick this cancer to the kerb!
