Hi my name is Steve Pena (husband )I'm doing this gofund for my wife (Juliana Pena ),to help us out in any medical bills or etc .

On June 30th, 2023 Julie woke up with her right leg swollen, red, unable to bare weight and in severe pain. We went to the ER at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen where she was admitted with 3 large blood clots to her Right leg, and several small clots had went to her lungs. She spent the next several days in the hospital on blood thinners to resolve the problem. On the 4th of July, she was released to go home. All throughout the night she wasn't feeling good.

The next morning she passed out falling to the floor from the bed. She was rushed back to the ER via ambulance, placed on intubation and was bleeding internally from a ruptured spleen. She underwent emergency surgery to remove her spleen and stop the bleeding. She had to receive many units of blood to save her. During this whole event, she also suffered a fractured left lower leg, where she underwent yet another surgery after she was in the clear from the abdominal surgery.

Julie is still admitted to the hospital with some continued complications, continues to be i pain and it is not clear yet when she will be able to come home, nor return to work. As the Doctors are saying, she has a long road to recovery. During this time, she does not have enough PTO from her work to help cover bills, insurance costs and other expenses, etc. We are asking for anything you may be able to help with. Any bit helps, small or large.
