Anyone who knows Juliana Jagielo knows that you could not find a more generous, hard-working, or selfless person anywhere. Her positive spirit and unyielding optimism make her a truly special friend and coworker; it is safe to say that Juliana positively impacts nearly every person she comes in contact with. In the past few months, Juliana has been hit by a lot of truly unfortunate circumstances that no person should be going through all at once, and these events have been taking a huge financial toll. We are asking right now that you channel some of Juliana’s giving spirit and help our favorite friend get back on her feet.
In April, Juliana was relocated from her home, leaving her with limited time and resources to find new living arrangements. This change in housing also meant that she lost access to the car she had been using to get to work. Refusing to quit, she relied on Uber rides, favors from friends, and a lot of nights on couches while trying to figure things out. Although Juliana has been blessed with a very supportive group of friends (that’s you guys, reading this!), these travel expenses have been building for her.
Luck seemed to be turning in her favor – she found a used car! However, after paying for the vehicle, along with insurance and registration, the car failed her in an accident that could have been very dangerous, leaving her with no option but to total the car.
Around this same time, as some of you may know, Juliana received word from West Virginia that her father had fallen very ill. Determined to be there for the family she had left, Juliana was fortunately able to take a leave from work in order to travel to WV in order to spend time with her father. Although her job has been incredibly accommodating and her bosses and coworkers have been supportive, a trip that distance is expensive.
A few days after returning from WV, ready to return to work, Juliana was mildly injured in a car accident. Thankfully there was no major injury as a result, but this accident forced Juliana to stay out of work for longer than she would have chosen. She had been back at work for only a few short days before receiving word that her father, after a brave fight with his illness, had passed away. Losing a parent under any circumstances is a devastating loss. However, for this loss to come at the end of a summer where everything has been going wrong… Juliana is understandably heartbroken. This, having lost both parents by such a young age, combined with the stress of managing her finances and car troubles, is what prompted us to start this Gofundme.
Throughout all of this, Juliana has been keeping her head held high, and continuing to uphold her obligations to her coworkers and friends. She has been unfathomably strong throughout situations that would have destroyed anyone, but despite her brave face, she is struggling. Our friend, the person who would give a stranger the shirt off her back, needs our help. We ask that you consider donating and sharing this page to help show your love for Juliana. No amount is too small!
