Julian's Fight Against Neuroblastoma Cancer

Julian Peace Bridges was just 21 months old at the time of diagnosis. He lives on a small urban farm in Sherwood, Oregon and travels with his mom to Ethiopia to do humanitarian volunteer work. You can imagine the family’s surprise when the stage 4 high risk metastasized neuroblastoma was found. The largest tumor is in his abdomen and has spread into his lungs, liver, spine, legs, feet, shoulders, bone marrow  and soft tissue all over. He completed his first round of chemo only days after diagnosis on October 18th, 2019. 



Julian has an amazing supportive community all of the way from the west coast of the United States to Oromia Ethiopia. Julian's family is incredibly thankful for the many friends who have asked to help carry the family's financial and emotional burden of such a hard fight.

While good medial insurance is in place, the extra costs are really quite daunting.  The annual deductible for 2019 and 2020 will come just months apart as well as the co-pays, prescriptions,  extra transportation, costs of staying at the Doernbecher hospital, loss of work for mom, and needing an extra medical caretaker for when we do get to go home etc. 

Julian's predicted treatment is 6 months of chemotherapy, stem cells from his own body collected and transplanted back later, surgery to remove the large tumor and radiation.  This process takes between 18 months and 2 years.

We believe the medical treatments he is receiving are the best available, that Julian is a little warrior and will fight for healing and we have a loving God who will shine through him in this process and hold his body in His hands.
