Julia Rodgers and Caden Vogt

On Saturday September, 5th Julia and Caden were in a severe car accident and were hit head on. Julia was taken to DePaul hospital where she suffered from a severe head injury, a broken foot, and sprained wrist. Caden who is only 7 years old was airlifted to Cardinal Glennon where he was suffering from internal bleeding and a fractured disc in his lower back. He had exploratory surgery and the surgeons found that his colon was split and they had to put it back together. Caden also had to have a second surgery where they had to insert 4 screws and a metal rod into his back. Caden is still in the hospital and cannot hold down any solid foods. He cannot go home until his digestive system works correctly.  Caden will not be able to do his favorite things like ride his bike outside, or his hover board and is suffering from depression. He will have to wear a back brace to walk around and do his normal day to day things. 

We are starting this fundraiser because the driver who hit Julia and Caden head on only has high risk underinsured insurance and the driver died at the scene. This is leaving Julia and Caden with thousands of dollars in medical debt.  Not only the PTSD from the trauma.
