Judith Addesa was a caring, loving woman. She always put her family first and ensured the needs of others before tending to her own. She was the most giving, understanding, accepting woman anyone could ever know. Judy was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. In 2009, she was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, which came as a shock, as she had never smoked a day in her life and little expected the long battle ahead. Cancer, as it does with everyone, affected our entire family as well as our lives. Over the course of four and half years Judy endured extensive treatment and was in and out of the hospital. During this time my grandfather struggled to pay numerous bills that were not covered by insurance, while still having to pay for her medications. Although she fought courageously until the end, she unfortunately passed away Friday September 13,2013. The impact she had on so many is undeniable and she will be terribly missed.
I always told my grandparents that I owe them the world for raising me, showing me what matters in life and making me the person that I am today. With this in mind, I am putting forth this effort to provide assistance to my grandfather, as these prior medical debts are still outstanding, in addition to the cost of funeral arrangements. As most of you know, my grandmother was my world and I am devastated by all of this. So please, any donation would be greatly appreciated and on behalf of my family we thank you in advance for your compassion and generosity.
