Judy Bui

As some of you many know, my dearest sister, Judy Bui, got into a car accident that lead to her death. (https://www.10news.com/news/san-diego-police-respond-to-fatal-crash-on-mira-mesa-street-033018)

Judy was a beloved mother, daughter, and sister. Words cannot describe the feeling my family and I are going through, but we all know that Judy wants us to be strong and to be there for her husband, Berviand, and her two children, Jaidev, and Jaliaa.  She would want us to support them with all of the love in the world.

Judy was a very independent person that excelled in everything she did. She was the one person that would always go out of her way to provide for her family; whether it be for her very own children, brothers, sisters, or our parents. She was the one that would brighten up the room with a simple smile. She eventually became the most successful and driven person we all know. No one could tell Judy otherwise, unless you wanted to get into a serious argument. And, at the very end of each of those times, she would always end up being right, because everything she did was always for the benefit of her family and her peers. Maybe that's why all the signs were pointing towards Judy taking her place in heaven. If so, she deserves to rest and watch over us in peace. She has touched everyone in so many ways, and we can't even begin to describe the weight of this loss.

We are trying to raise money to help cover both the funeral, and her son's medical expenses. A funeral costs approximately $34k+ and a little bit more for church fees and preparation related events.

In addition, Jaidev has sustained immense injuries from the accident (fractures to a couple spots in his skull, his knee, multiple spots on his pelvis, and broken ribs). He will require an intense amount of care and physical therapy in order to recover. We conservatively estimate that it will be about $20k.


Further, Judy was also the financial cornerstone of her family.  We estimate that it will cost another ~$10k to help her family keep the roof over their head for ~4 more months while they transition and move into a smaller place, daycare for their children, and so that her widowed husband may have time to grieve while adjusting to life without Judy.
