On Tuesday, September 8, the Almeda Fire in Southern Oregon tore through the towns of Ashland, Talent, and Phoenix.
My mother, Judy Lee, and her partner, Greg Connell, lost their home in Talent, as did many others. They escaped with the clothes on their backs and nothing else. All of their possessions, clothing, medications, etc. were lost in the blaze.
Fortunately, at the moment they are able to stay with family nearby whose home was spared. They are pursuing support and insurance guidance, but this may take weeks or more. Judy is on disability and Greg is a plumber who will not be able to work again until the area recovers and it is safe.
Any amount you can donate will be put toward clothing, food, and basic needs. There is no amount too small.
