Hello,



A little bit about me 
           My name Is Wesley Greenidge I'm a judo athlete I am 21 years of age, I started judo at the age of 6 but was never serious about it, Judo was never a priority, at the time  it was rugby. I played rugby at academy level. In year 8 my local judo club coach George Hyslop visited my school and invited me to come down to the local club where it all started. It was mesmerising and after 1 session I was hooked! so much so I entered into a few competitions and took away a few medals and a medal at the pre cadet age band nationals by the end of the year I was invited to join the  England squad and have loved judo ever since. 

My aspirations 
I’d like to ask you for some sponsorship or  some support to help me achieve my dreams to become and Olympic athlete and hopefully medal at the Olympic Games. I’m a young athlete from Enfield living at the current university of Wolverhampton where the GB judo centre of excellence is based which I am apart of I’m am currently in the Great Britain senior squad .




I am the current number two senior in Britain due to injury which i am coming back          from now the last proper event I competed in was the senior world teams championships in 2018 October since then I’ve unfortunately not been able to compete due to the injury that’s have occurred throughout the back end of the year and during the year of 2018.  I was the only junior from our junior team to be selected to fight in the senior world team championships, which was a great experience and gave me a great taste for what is yet to come.




My best results competing for England  are British champion under 21’s 2017,2016, British senior championships silver 2017, the Scottish open senior championships silver 2017 Scottish open championships junior gold, 1st in the judo commonwealths championships in South Africa senior and junior 2016 English senior open championships in 2017 1st place these are all the achievements based within the country.

My campaign 
So the reason I would like sponsorship would be to Be able to either buy products to better myself or self fund to trips for accommodation, to train abroad or to compete abroad also maybe to be given products that maybe useful for me in the future.

This would be a very helpful and would help me get to my goal because with funding or help I know I will be able to be one step closer to reaching my target and will be able fulfil my potential,  getting to the Olympic Games and hopefully have a good chance of medalling at the Olympics.  I was number one junior and before getting injured during the year I was within the top ten of the junior world ranking list where I was world number 5 at junior level. I would be thankful for who may sponsor me and will make space for sponsorship badges on my kit so wherever I go people will know who sponsors me.
