Let's help the Caribbean !!

As I'm sure many of you are aware, 2 major hurricanes have caused devastation throughout the Caribbean in many islands. Islands like Barbuda pretty much disappeard and the damage is some others such as Dominica and BVI are beyond calculation. The recovery on some of these islands would never put them back to their original state and some estimates predict that power and clean water would take months to be restablished.
I work for Cable and Wireless Communications, which is a Telecommunications Company that operates in many of these islands and we have done remarkable efforts to bring relief to those affected including the creation of a charitable foundation (http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/cable-wireless-charitable-foundation-launched-with-us500k-donation-support-hurricane-2234471.htm) to bring additional support from our partners.
These efforts and the brotherhood that I have seen in helping the Caribbean community motivated me to create this project and request your help.
In an effort to help and mitigate the repercussions of this dissaster, I have leveraged my network of suppliers and identified solar power banks to help people to keep their devices charged and communicate with their families and authorities. These power banks would be at least 50% less than their retail price, so by funding this project you would at least duplicate the value of your contribution and help the Caribbean Community to be communicated.
My goal is to procure 1,000 power banks (@ $ 9 each including transportation) and send them to affected islands such as Antigua, Anguilla, BVI, Dominica, Puerto Rico and Turks and Caicos. We have team members on each of these islands and they will ensure that these are distributed to those hand that need them them most.
Needless to say, these supplies are urgently needed, therefore, your prompt support is trully appreciated.
