This is our Mother, Juanita Urbina Jordan most of you know her as Jenny. About 1 1/2 years ago she was diagnosed with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer that traveled to her brain last year at the young age of 65. She's never smoked a day in her life and never had a drink ... that just wasn't her style. She is a fun loving woman that enjoys engaging in conversation and loves making people laugh. A strong single mother of two that raised my sister and I and struggled to make ends meet. Dispite many challenges she managed to finish college with her Master's in Special Education. Prior to retirement she worked as a Special Ed Teacher and a DCFS Investigator for many years and rescued countless children/families from dangerous situations. She is an intelligent and witty woman. She loves with all her heart, she's honest and a loyal friend, I'm sure many of her friends would agree.
We had to make very difficult decisions this past week and she is currently in hospice care and in need. We are asking for a financial gift that will truly help our family with funeral costs. She does not have life insurance and we were recently informed by her Oncologist that there is nothing else they can do for her and has less than two months to live. As you know funeral costs are very high. We are asking for God's will in this matter.
Many of you have asked, "how can we help?" Thank you for your kindness and willingness to help. Our family is asking in this very difficult season to help us provide her with a decent and proper funeral which she so deserves. We can not express in words how thankful we are for your kindness, thoughtfulness and prayers.
Many of you have visited and spent time with her and although she senses your presence she is very weak and sleeps most of the time, because of this hospice has limited visiting time to ten minutes per visit and we fully understand. Would you please consider making a donation of any amount for this cause through this Go Fund Me page or to Denise Villasenor directly who is in charge of funding these costs and May God return to you seven fold the gift that you so kindly provided for our Mother's funeral costs.
