I have recently lost a best mate, Chris Davidson, of 40 years to suicide. Chris has left behind two beautiful daughters, Melissa & Amy,  that he loved very much along with hundreds of family, friends and work colleagues that have been devastated by his sudden death. 

Chris was everyone’s friend, he always had time for anyone that knew him. Both during work or his social life, Chris was always the life and soul who brought humour, laughter and empathy to our lives. Chris had a magnetic presence that lifted peoples spirits whether young or old, but behind this happy go lucky gentleman, away from the crowds Chris must have been really suffering from mental illness but found that he couldn’t reach out to so many people that would of supported him through his fight with depression. Instead Chris suffered alone. Letting smaller worries magnified into huge issues that in his mind could not be resolved. This in turn lead to him being unable to cope which and led to him ending his life. If only he had talked to someone he would he would have realised there there was so many people around him that would of offered support, been a listening ear and help him with a way forward in his life.

We wish to encourage people to speak up about any issues they may be having mentally or if they are suffering from anything. You can find support in the people around you. This why I would like to raise money to help other people that find them self in this position.
